In the heart of Rioja Alavesa, in the foothills of the Sierra Cantabria, Izadi produces its wines from a hundred plots that do not exceed one hectare on average and that together add 187 hectares of old vineyards facing south. A Land of tradition and tradition, wise by nature, of old vineyards, exceptional soil and privileged microclimate. The structure and personality of the Izadi begins in the land itself, whose dryness and water stress index directly on the quality of the grapes. After a first selection process in the vineyard, the best grapes pass a second selection table in the cellar, and a demanding production process begins at 5 levels of gravity. The structure and personality of the wines is refined by aging in fine-grained oak barrels. Aged for 14 months in Bordeaux American oak barrels.
CATA's notes:Ruby color of medium layer and unctuous tear. High aromatic intensity well balanced in shades of red fruits, licorice and spices combined with aromas of cedar and smoked. In the mouth it turns out elegant and balanced with a long aftertaste with fruity and floral memories.
