The origin of Marqués de Cáceres dates back to the end of the 60s, when Valencian Enrique Forner decided to apply in Rioja the wine knowledge acquired in Bordeaux during his stay at Château Camensac. Aged for 22 months in French oak barrels and, later, for a minimum of 24 months in the bottle.
CATA's notes:Attractive ruby red of good layer with garnet-tile reflections on its outer edging. It displays aromas of good intensity, with marked notes of reduction (leather and tobacco) that are opening to aromatic series dominated by fine spicy and roasted memories with subtle notes of cedar and cocoa. Its mouthfeel is tasty and expressive, with good acidity and a pleasant fruit personality. Mature tannins that provide a pleasant tasting and a long aftertaste in which the balsamic and toasted notes reappear.
