Viñedos y Bodegas Pittacum began its trajectory with a clear idea: to create wines with personality, which, without renouncing the character that the Mencía variety, the area or the climate gives it, bear the stamp of the unique works. Personality, regularity and qualityThese are the three keywords that define your commitment. Rest for about 8 months with the lees and a single transfer in oak barrels and in the bottle for about 24 months. It is a closed wine. One of the purest and most concentrated expressions of Mencía. We recommend decanting a minimum of half an hour before tasting it.

CATA's notes:Intense and very dark cherry color with purple edges. Bright and high layer. Dense tear that dyes the glass. Intense varietal aromas. A lot of red and black fruit that is expressing slowly, suggestively to explode once opened. Sifted with intense roasted, a lot of cocoa, toffee, tobacco and with distant mineral memories, of moist earth. Very good balsamic bottom, full of menthol, eucalyptus, licorice. A very rich, dry, astringent, meaty Bierzo wine. Delicate entrance with a smooth, silky and very tasty step. Liqueur fruit full of toasted nuances and very well integrated wood. Excellent acidity Tannins present, somewhat astringent. Very long finish that leaves a smoky aftertaste.
