The Guilfa is, in the ancestral Asturian, the icy wind that precedes the snow that heals the soil to which the black Verdejo and Carrasquín strains from which this wine is born are clinging. Tuned for eight months in the best French oak barrels, It is a deeply Atlantic wine.
Tasting Notes: Intense cherry red color, with slight violet flashes on the trim. Clean two layers without defects. Tearing uniform making a nice bell. In the glass stop very ripe red fruit, cocoa, leathers and minerals and distant fungi. In a moving glass, the fruit is very intensely ripe again, wrapped in pleasant tertiary notes with fine vanilla, some coconut, cocoa, clean leathers, Chinese ink and on them metal slates and freshly picked mushrooms very marked. Its mouthfeel is sweet, velvety, very balanced, with a very good acidity, and without any edges, structured and with adequate body , manifesting in the mouth the sensations perceived olfactory, in which the terroir manifests itself in a considered way. Of high persistence, in retronasal it is marked by the mineral and earth notes, while in aftertaste the fruit leaves its mark.
